The Website Design and Requirement

Being in a niche industry with a small list of high-value clients, it was important that Integra had a website that looked professional and matched its services and the quality of its products. Though the company had been present in India for the past 40 years, Integra Engineering is not widely known as it caters to a very specific clientele. The requirement for a website was twofold: first, to create an online presence as a leading brand in the engineering industry catering to the railway sector, and second, to be a marketing platform for potential new clients who may be interested in the services and products manufactured by Integra. Showcasing new products and possibilities also gives Integra a new reason to market to new clients.

Integra’s Website Requirements Were Straightforward:

1. A responsive website: Mobile-friendly, fast-loading, and, most importantly, accessible on all devices, big and small. The website had to be fast-loading on slower networks, making it accessible from 2G and 3G networks in remote areas.
2. A modern design: Professionally designed without the use of templates. A custom design would ensure that Integra Engineering stands out from other websites, creating a brand identity. The website should be custom-designed and not look templated.
3. Highlight the parent company and its location: Integra had a presence in Asia, Europe, and America. It was important that the presence of the company in various countries be highlighted to show that the company is a major player worldwide.
4. Focus on existing clients: A testimonial and clients section was to be highlighted with the biggest clients of Integra Engineering. Clients included the West Central Railway, Alstom, Bombardier, Siemens, and Medha, among others.
5. Highlight the key projects on the homepage: Integra Engineering had clients like the New York Metro, Delhi Metro, and Vande Bharat, among others.
6. Certifications: The importance of certifications like ISO and TBB, among other industry certifications, is important for many clients before making a decision on projects. These certifications were to be highlighted on the homepage of the website.

Megh Technologies’ Custom Business Website Design

Megh Technologies understood the requirements of Integra Engineering and created a design for Integra Engineering to approve. Variations of three designs were provided with brand colors, fonts, etc. Integra Engineering decided on one of the three designs and made minor alterations to it.

Once the design was approved, Megh Technologies started with a site structure followed by a wireframe for all pages. The chosen design was still not incorporated on the wireframe, but placeholders were in place for design elements. Once the wireframe was approved, we created a complete user interface in Figma with the chosen design as a model. Once the prototype was presented and approved, Megh Technologies created the complete website in HTML5, CSS3, and the Bootstrap framework.

The final website was responsive with a hero section featuring a video. The website was well appreciated. The entire website was coded, tested, and deployed within 20 days from the approval of the first design.

The Website: Requirement and Design

Being a relatively new company in the competitive world of real estate in Dubai, Haus & Grace found it imperative to have an online presence the moment they thought of expanding their operations in Dubai. A website that would reflect their company values and 15 years of experience had to be showcased to garner attention among customers.

Apart from creating a website with just a portfolio, Haus & Grace wanted to take it one step further by allowing property owners to list their properties for rent or sale. This required a new section for listing the properties and an area where customers could search for listed properties on Haus & Grace.

1. A Professional Looking Real Estate Website with a Responsive Design and Lead Generation: The website had to be responsive and accessible on all devices, both desktop and mobile. The webpages should be fast-loading, and images should be optimized for quality and speed. The website should also be able to generate leads.
2. Dynamic Website with Blog Integration: Blog integration was crucial for Haus & Grace for marketing its products and properties. The addition of content should be easy and not require a professional web designer or developer in-house.
3. Integrated with All Real Estate Website Functionality Including Search Features for Properties: The website should be able to list properties from interested parties, and the listed properties should be searchable based on various parameters.
4. Easy Navigation: The website should be easily navigable, and the user interface should be intuitive. The navigation should be crawler-friendly and user-friendly for easy access to various pages on the website.
5. Easy Maintenance: The website should be easily maintainable, and updates should be seamless. The addition and deletion of properties should be easy and should be done in-house without the need for a developer.

Megh Technologies understood the requirements of Haus & Grace and started with the choice of technology. WordPress was the preferred interface as it provided various plugins for integrating real estate property listings, search features, and easy template and theme management. WordPress was also easier to manage, secure, and scalable. WordPress came with regular security updates for its platform, and maintenance of the platform was not required apart from security updates, which could be automated.

Once the technology and platform were approved, we started with the theme development and site structure of the website. The website had four main sections: the home page, the about us page, property listings, and the section to list properties. A wireframe was created for each section, and once approved, a prototype of each page was created in Figma. The website prototype was an exact replica of what would be delivered.

Coding and Development

Once the prototype was approved, the team at Megh Technologies started creating the theme in WordPress. The theme was created with Bootstrap but was mostly custom-coded on the WordPress Gutenberg editor. The plugins were coded and customized to the requirements of the stakeholders. The plugins were created to list the properties, search properties, and list the properties with WordPress’s inbuilt authentication systems.

Once the coding was completed, the website was first tested on a local server and then on a temporary live server for testing. When the client checked the website for design and functionality and approved it, the website was transferred to the domain and made live.

The Website – Requirement and Incorporation

The GEO website was established in 2009 as a platform for employers to provide information on various activities for entrepreneurs in Gujarat. Megh Technologies was assigned to redesign the website in 2021. The website was completely recreated with a new design and modern technology to meet the latest industry standards of web design and development.

Being an organization with over 40 years of history, GEO needed to be represented professionally, showcasing all the work they had done in the past. The new website was designed to highlight all the achievements and press attention garnered by the organization.

Vibrant Design – Modern Yet Simple

Megh Technologies proposed to recreate the website with a modern look while keeping the branded colours intact and not changing the core elements of the brand. This included maintaining the existing fonts, logos, and colours. Megh Technologies created a website structure that was in line with the previous site structure. Changing the website structure could affect search engine optimization features and impact rankings. The website’s wireframe was recreated to match the new design and was presented to the stakeholders.

The prototype of the website was created in Figma. Once the User Interface (UI) design was approved by GEO, the website was completed in HTML with CSS using the Bootstrap framework. The website included a content management system (CMS) custom-created by Megh Technologies. The CMS for GEO Gujarat was simple and easy to use for anyone with minimal technical knowledge. It was also secure and password-protected.

The final design was tested on a local server before being set up on a test domain. Upon client satisfaction, the website was transferred to the live server.

The website for Fun Retreat was a necessity. Located in remote Tanzania and in a destination visited only by tourists, it was important that the company had a digital presence. The visibility of the company was negligible at best and was not known even in the Tanzanian capital. An online presence would put the company among the few locations in the foothills of Kilimanjaro.

The website would require a lot more than a listing of the property itself. The website would require online booking facilities, images, and a full portfolio of all features of the property. The website would act as a platform for booking the property and also as an advertising platform. This required the website to be optimized for search engines and presentable, full of quality pictures.

The Requirements Were as Follows:

1. Responsive Website: With more than 70% of the world population now accessing the internet on a mobile device, it was only practical to create a website that was responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible on all devices of all sizes. This was a practical requirement and a de facto standard in today’s world.
2. A Booking Platform: The website should allow visitors to book from the range of rooms available and confirm their bookings. There were six property types to choose from with different price ranges. The bookings should be confirmed on payment, and the availability of each room should be reflected correctly prior to booking.
3. A Complete Listing of All Properties and Features: The health retreat facility should feature all the images with an enquiry form to provide more details. These facilities change in price based on the season.
4. Booking Button Availability: A booking button should be available on all pages to promote more bookings and easy access to the booking pages.
5. High-Quality Images: The use of high-quality images provided by the property should be widely used with limited text content. The focus should be on creating more orders and enquiries.

With the requirements in place, Megh Technologies started creating an outline and a complete site structure for the website. The website would have mostly static content that would not change. However, the main area where the app was focused was the booking sections. The bookings were updated by the property owner, and the availability of the rooms should be reflected while booking the property.

We created a wireframe of all the pages, including the pages for booking, after the site structure was created. Once approved, the UI/UX was designed in Figma with a full prototype of the booking system in place. The design was approved by Fun Retreat, and Megh Technologies started with creating the web app first and the design side by side.

The website uses .NET for the booking app, while the static section was created in HTML5 and CSS3 using the Bootstrap framework.

Once the design and coding were completed, the website was tested first on a local server and then on a test server, which was available to the client. The site was made live and deployed on the domain name funretreat.com after the client was satisfied with the results.

Ficus Food Labs manufactures a range of mayonnaise from garlic mayo, chipotle, tandoori, and veg mayo. Apart from mayo, the company has a range of salad dressings, chocolate syrups, barbecue sauce, ketchup, pizza pasta sauce, hot wing sauce, chutneys, cheese jalapeno dips, salsa dips, and tartar dips.

With a multi-billion dollar investment and state-of-the-art products, it’s easy to stand out as a leader in food manufacturing, especially in the dips and sauce niche. But the competition in the food industry requires you to always stay ahead at every single point in time.

The Requirement – Website, Marketing, Blog

Ficus Food Labs realized that an online presence is key to marketing their products to the wider market. With many companies looking for their own products but unable to create one, the possibility of tapping into the white-label food industry is high, as long as the marketing is done right. Ficus Food Labs’ online presence was just the beginning. A website was a starting point for their marketing journey. The company planned to go ahead with a detailed social media marketing and blogging strategy post-website creation. But to begin with, Ficus Food Labs had to create a website.

The Requirement for the Website Was Very Clear:

1. Responsive Website that’s Mobile-Friendly: The website was to be mobile-friendly, fast-loading, and responsive. Though most visitors were expected to make an inquiry after detailed research, the possibility of leads coming from mobile phones was much higher, with most people in today’s world using a mobile phone rather than a desktop.
2. Custom Design: Ficus Food Labs wanted a website that was different. It had to stand out from the template designs available online, which could easily be identified as a template. Being a brand required that the website design be unique.
3. The Website Had to Reflect the Brand: The Ficus Food Labs website had to align with the branded colors and the fonts approved by the board and stakeholders. Deviating from the colors and fonts was not recommended. The logo should be crisp and displayed prominently on the website.
4. Quality Images, UI, and UX Design: The UI and UX design should be professional, easy to view, with a focus on images and content. All the images provided should be displayed in the best quality and loaded fast. The importance of the images and quality UI/UX was key to the website.
5. Blog Integration: The website had to be integrated with a blog that would be accessed and maintained in-house. The blog should preferably stay separate from the core website while maintaining the look and feel of the brand.

Custom WordPress Website Development

Megh Technologies understood the requirements of Ficus Food Labs before starting the project. We also conducted full research on the audience to understand what they were looking for. Based on our research and the requirements provided, we created a WordPress website with a blog section. Using only WordPress enabled a content management system for the website and a blog section, which can be controlled by Ficus Food Labs. Also, WordPress had plugins like WooCommerce in case the company wanted to scale further into an eCommerce store. The design was created to the requirements of Ficus Food Labs. The website was responsive, mobile-friendly, and loaded fast. Each page was optimized for speed to load in less than 3 seconds. The hosting was on an Azure server managed by Megh Technologies.

The Results: Full WordPress Website with Custom Theme

The website was completed and had the following features in place:

1. WordPress Website Theme: Easily customizable and can be changed completely without affecting the content, in case the website required a redesign even after years.
2. Responsive Website: All the pages were responsive and mobile-friendly, enabling access on all devices, even smaller devices. The website was also optimized for speed with easy, fast-loading images.
3. Blog Integration: The website had a separate blog section where content could be added in-house. The blog was part of the WordPress website but had a slightly different theme.
4. Product Page Design: The product section had a different design to display the products clearly with detailed information. The pages contained tables of information that looked very close to a label on the food packaging.
5. Image Gallery: A fully functional image gallery was put in place with links from the product page and also a gallery section.

The website was well-received and appreciated by all stakeholders. The website was hosted on a Megh Technologies Azure server.
